On the next night he was back again although he didn't come by for a nice juicing young tree. This time he came just for a nose, a quick scratch and preening session.

Mr. Beav Comes by For Brief Visit
Two nights in a row Mr. Beav has come by for a brief visit. On the first night he helped himself to a young box elder locally known as a Manitoba Maple. He had planned to take the tree home to snack on at his leisure but our neighbours were out in the water and he decided to eat his snack under our dock.
We didn't get too close as he has really long claws and a very powerful tail. He was definitely something to see from a distance.
